“The experience was truly awesome,” stated Harry Hink, the owner of HB Services. The project took place in Hyattsville, Maryland and the house was completely rebuilt in less than seven days.
Many people wonder “do they really build a house from the ground up in one week”? Well, the answer is YES! A lead contractor is selected to head the project and they assemble a team of professionals to complete it. With a huge team of volunteers, the project is scheduled down to the minute. Harry served as project coordinator and on site supervisor. Spending endless hours over the week, the house ran into delays but the family did “Move that Bus!” after only seven days.
HB Services LLC, specializing in custom decks and landings, built the decks for the project. Mike Reid, the lead carpenter for HB Services, volunteered his own time to help with the effort. Because they are also experts in basement refinishing, the team centered their efforts on the basement. Harry personally trimmed out the entire basement with the help of a few volunteers from the United Way.
